On the second day of the MSPO International Defence Industry Exhibition in Kielce, on 9 September 2026, PCO S.A. and Estonia's Vegvisir, a company specializing in situational awareness systems based on mixed reality technology, signed a Memorandum of Understanding on future cooperation.
The MoU concerns the potential integration of advanced Polish optoelectronic systems with Vegvisir's solutions, which enable imagery to be displayed on transparent head-mounted displays and allow dynamic real-time interaction with the displayed information. This includes, among others, the projection of tactical data onto live feeds from electro-optical and thermal imaging sensors, as well as see-through-armour capabilities. These technologies significantly enhance situational awareness and operational effectiveness for operators of both crewed and uncrewed platforms. The cooperation will contribute to the development of regional technological competencies and support the strengthening of European defence industrial sovereignty in the area of the digital battlefield.
The event brought together representatives of public administration and the defence industries of both Estonia and Poland, highlighting the importance of regional technological cooperation for security and the development of European defence capabilities. Among the distinguished attendees was Siim Sukles, Undersecretary for Defence Industry and Innovation at the Estonian Ministry of Defence, together with H.E. Miko Haljas, Estonian Ambassador to Poland.
